I'm Not 18 Anymore

Yesterday I went out with my friend Chris and played some tennis, at the tennis courts near Berkeley's Rose Garden. Though I haven't played tennis since high school, Chris showed me the rules and gave me some tips, and I had a lot of fun! I'm going to have to invest in some actual sporting-type clothes though, blue-jeans don't make the best sports pants.
Just in case I thought that I wasn't out of shape yet, when I woke up this morning my body had some reminders for me. Mostly in my legs. I don't really think of myself as being my age, until I have to do something that used to be much easier, like run around for an hour. Then the leg departments and the arm departments send complaints up to the head office, and refuse to work efficiently until they've been given some extra vacation time. So, that's what I'm going to do the rest of the day.

  1. Thank goodness! Who wants to go back to 18?

  2. I liked 18. I had hair. What's funny about sports is that you sometimes use muscles you're not used to. I went ice skating a few years ago and realized that my ankles have muscles I did not know were there.

  3. I'm glad Chris has someone to play with. Sarah and I could go out to eat next time.
